The Building is shut, but the Church is still here - message from Katie Cross

Following Government advice, our church buildings remain shut for the time being because of the Corona virus pandemic. We are committed to supporting our local communities and doing our bit to keep everyone safe.

Although we can no longer meet in the buildings, we are still worshipping together each Sunday, on the telephone and using Zoom. Just follow the instructions on the website to join us. We also have a booklet with simple services and prayers that can be downloaded for use in the home.

Unfortunately, we cannot conduct baptisms and weddings at the moment and look forward to when they can happen. Funerals cannot take place in church, but our clergy are still available to help with arrangements, services at the crematorium or at the graveside, please feel free to get in touch.

One of the key things we can continue to do in this unsettling time is to pray. We have been praying both for people, our communities and the world, as we grapple with how to respond, asking God for his guidance and peace.

If you would like to include a personal prayer, we have a prayer board and dedicated prayer email address that sends any request to our clergy to include in their daily devotions.

Although we may not be meeting together, church life continues, so do please keep in touch!
